First Byron announcement. Here's who I'm excited about:

The Flatlanders -- YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr John & the Lower 911
Lyle Lovett
Béla Fleck and Oumou Sangaré
Buddy Guy
Jeff Beck
Robert Gordon
Peter Green & friends
Justin Townes Earle

I'll keep an eye out for the Sydney show/s of Orquestra Buena Vista Social Club too but they'll probably play somewhere horrible like the Opera House so I'll stay home and listen to Bebo Valdes records.

tasty list Miss Flop. What to say except woo and hoo

About time too for Lyle and the Flatlanders to venture to these shores.

Oh I see Brian Auger is coming out - jeez if he's only a fifth as good as he used to be he'll be better than most:

Remember Steampacket - what a line up -
Long John Baldry - vocals
Rod Stewart - vocals
Julie Driscoll - vocals
Brian Auger - Organ
Vic Briggs - guitar
Richard Brown - bass guitar
Micky Waller - drums

I read on the Brunswick Music Festival site that Mary Gauthier is part of the line up. No doubt will be at the Port Fairy fest as well.

I saw her perform last time she was here - not to be missed!

Wasn't ignoring y'all, haven't been getting comment notification emails and only got Internet connected again today after the move ..

So anyhow, Mary Gauthier -- awesome! Saw her when she toured with the also brilliant Steve Young and was really great.

Just the 1st announce that so hopefully much more to come. Better start saving.

Oh and Chris Smither is confirmed for the Blue Mountains Music Fest around the same time so he's in the mix too ...
