"This Land is Your Land", Lincoln Memorial.

DON'T CRY, I know you're a bunch of damn old hippies.

Apparently HBO is being assiduously frakwitted in issuing takedowns of these Inauguration concert vids so be warned it may suddenly disappear. (YouTube rendition!) Also, make sure your irony metre is sitting down.

Bonus classic Boss on same song:

I guess Pete Seeger is still quite an optimist, as he seems to believe that anyone knows more than the chorus to that song. I've never heard a couple of the verses myself, actually. But you have to enjoy him getting to sing that subversive, pinko stuff right on the Mall.

Weird moment: the camera picking out George Lucas in the crowd.

I know all the verses. Why do you hate America?

Why *don't* you?

(That would have been a better comeback before noon EST.)

The entire Inauguration Concert was shown today on SBS. It was on around 1pm and went for about two & a half hours. It wasn't advertised AFAIK. Great to see Pete Seeger on stage with Tao his grandson (and The Boss), along with all the other artists.

What do you mean 'don't cry"? Sheesh.

And as for you, Mr "I've never heard a couple of the verses myself, actually. " Phineas, who died and made you the gold standard?

If one wanted to send you an album that they thought you'd enjoy - something brand new that you hadn't heard yet - where would they find your email address to send you said album?

You can get me at flopearedmule@gmail.com

However I have to warn you I never feel under pressure to do anything with unsolicited submissions. No offence but I'm all about blogging adding no extra obligations to my life. I might do something with it, but I can only say might.

Also, Phineas has Life membership of the Flop Eared Mule Gold Standard Society.

I was only snarky because you made me cry.
