I generally keep my political waffle elsewhere but THIS makes it squarely on topic so, cope.
Ralph Stanley does a radio ad for Barack Obama!!
Stanley told the crowd that he had cast his first vote for Harry S. Truman in 1948 and would cast his next for John Edwards in 2008-- but after Edwards fell by the wayside, Stanley endorsed Barack Obama on September 9, 2008.

You Twittered that MGD isn't very good--it's not, but it's better than Budweiser, by half. Of course, this is local pride talking.

Heh, but Bud is/as distributed by Cindy McCain's family so obs couldn't buy that. And those are the only two Seppo beers you can pick up around here. I DO know there are great American beers -- I've had a few -- just they're not avaiable here.

Psst! -- Bottled beer is elitist! Joe Six-Pack drinks from cans.

Ha! I'm sure you're already aware that Toby Keith also came out for Obama as well. Ol' Tobes is a blue dog ...

I was telling that about TK to someone the other day.
BUT unless he starts, like, making good music I like he is not on topic ;-)

Hi Amanda - great blog! Nice to see other Dylan fans around - I've been watching him since 1963. Thanks for the link you offered to the Dylan society in Sydney - I'll get along to a meeting (I'm in the Hawkesbury.)

Hi Laurie, it would be great to see you at a meeting. Which reminds me, I have to update the Sydney Dylan site and put a post here about CP Lee coming to the November meeting. Hoping my deluxe editiuon of the new Bootleg series arrives from Amazon any day now ...
Nice blog Dangerbird! I have to hear some recent Damien Jurado. Rehearsals for Departure is the last thing I heard I think which was DECADES ago but was one of my favourite albums for ages.
