Sqeeeeaaaaallllll!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!

YES - We Must Get Tickets!!!!

I missed him by about 3 weeks in 1986......I went to see Ultravox instead………….

I will pay whatever I have to pay!!!!!!!

He's been rumoured for the Sydney Festival so it's probably for that since tickets go on sale next month.

Hm. I hope that doesn't mean the gig will be at the Opera House and cost $12 million dollars plus b.f for a ticket. Not that I wouldn't pay it.

Did you see that Midge Ure has a new record out, Fuschia? Heh.

I saw Ultravox in London which has nothing to do with Leonard Cohen however it WAS with John Foxx singing on the 'Systems Of Romance Tour which was waaay flippa than bloody Midge Ure.

I was guessing your clip would be Dance Me or Tower Of Song.

Ms FXH will force me to sell all possessions to get ticks.

Natch I'm dancing around warbling "I'm your Man"

Dance Me -- too obvious? Oh well.

So many of his songs come under the 'best.song.eva' heading - it would be hard not to be obvious...

There is a clip of a very young Cohen crying through 'the stranger song' (best.song.eva) which is also pretty cool

'Dance Me' was the first Cohen song I ever heard - on the local ABC radio station over breakfast one morning at Wakefield. A friend and I went to the mall at Kotara and bought the record (eeks - as in vinyl!). It had all the lyrics printed on the back and that was enough to send two very emotional teenage girls straight to heaven.

I have been an acolyte ever since.

I would even see him at the Opera House - this is how far my love extends

Wow! I'd love to see the venerable Mr Cohen in the flesh - again.

I did actually see him perform at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne whenever he was last here. The venue struck me as ironic at the time, but Leonard's show, as I recall, was all pretty cheery and good vibes all round.

Actually the concert I saw was in March 1980.

This site has the set list - if only I could remember it more clearly...it sounds terrific.

Dang it....book my flight.

The 'Various Positions' record which Fuschia owned was my first taste at about 15 or so. Hooked forever more.

I went to LA to see Nick Cave, I'd do the same for Len...maybe I missed him...ekkk.
