Went to the Art Gallery of NSW today. The Biennale is on and one of the exhibitions is a phone which, according to the notice, Yoko Ono will call at random times. And you can talk to her. This is my niece Snow Pea workshopping such a scenario but it was silent while we were there. I did a Google but could find no reports of anyone actually speaking to her.

Erm, the only thing remotely Ono related in my collection is Dylan's potted bio of her from a Theme Time episode.

I really like Yoko Ono's art, it's funny. This is awesome. And your niece is lovely.

It's 'cause you don't like John Lennon. If you did, you'd have some Yoko in your collection. That's how I have her in my collection. I don't care what anybody says - I think Sometime in New York City is a great album. Sometimes people poke fun at me for saying that, but I don't care.

I'm mostly neutral about John and can honestly say I have never knowingly heard Yoko sing so if you bring this CD to the next meeting I will be happy to borrow it. ;-)

I've been reading about Yoko's art and yeah I like it. She has a blog!http://100acorns.blogspot.com/

And indeed Snow Pea is lovely!!

yoko might have called when she picked it up and wouldn't have been able to get through cos it was engaged.

Tres avant garde!

Hey Amanda, I'll do ya a deal - I'll bring Sometime in New York City if you bring Dan Bern for me (OK, I understand if you can't bring Dan in the flesh, sigh).

Yoko's voice ain't that great if you ask me, but I really like the album because it captures the zeitgeist of that period so well. Plus, Sunday Bloody Sunday is a bloody good song.

Hey, maybe Yoko's gotten confused with the time difference and she really is calling, only she's doing it at 3am our time.

Man, I completely forgot about Dan. Definately have it for you next week.

it was 2pm last Saturday at the AGNSW and the phone rang. I wished there was someone else to answer it 'cause after all what do you talk to Yoko Ono about... I'm sure she's not a Swans supporter. Was it her ? well as it happens, speak Japanese and so we talked about where she lived in Tokyo. I was stuck for words. I wish Snow Pea had been there !

Oh, like, seriously? That's excellent Diane. Thank you for letting us know. My faith in modern art is restored.
